We changed the change rooms, the uniform, the way a new player is looked after and who she sees at training. Here's all of it, so you can judge us on what we actually did.

Our girls' teams in 2027
Age groups are worked out from your daughter's age on 1 January 2027. Each of our girls' teams covers two ages — so she'll always have players her own age around her.

Younger than that? She still plays.
Girls aged 7, 8 and 9 play in our mixed teams - Under 8, Under 9 and Under 10 - alongside the boys, and plenty of our girls-only players started exactly that way. The moment competitive footy begins, the girls have their own teams. Girls' footy here isn't something bolted on that starts late. It starts the same year everybody else's does.

Not a policy on a wall. This is how the club runs, every week.

Female-supervised change rooms
No man moves through the girls' change rooms unless a female official or parent is with him. If a male official needs to come in, there is always a woman present. No exceptions, no case-by-case judgement.

Change rooms, community spaces, the walk to the drinking taps. If your daughter is ever uneasy in the car park or anywhere around the ground, she tells someone and we deal with it that minute.
Well-lit facilities right across the club

Hair ties, sanitary products, deodorant, mirrors, sanitary bins and toilet paper that's actually there. Donated by our own community. Bring what you need — but if you're caught out, we've got you, and nobody has to ask twice.

A Buddy for every new player
From day one she's paired with someone already in the team, whose actual job is to show her the change rooms, the canteen and the best spot to watch from — and to answer her questions, including the ones she's too shy to ask.

Our Senior Women at girls' training
They come down through the season to share what they know, join in, and lead. Because when you see it, you can be it - and a 12year-old who has met a senior women's player knows exactly where this can go.

Full football pathway
Auskick/Superkick > Junior Footy > Senior Footy
It create relationships for girls and women to support each other, and become more than friends at the club, but for life.
THE UNIFORM
Cut for her body.
Same price as everyone else's.
Ask a girl what stops her enjoying a game and she'll rarely say "the jumper".
Ask what she's thinking about while she's bending over a loose ball, and you might get a different answer.
So our girls' kit is cut for female bodies - properly designed, not a boys pattern made smaller.

From the outside, it looks like everybody else's. Taped waistband, same colours, same club, same team photo. Nobody can tell she's wearing a different cut — which is exactly the point. She gets a uniform that works, without being marked out as the girl in the different gear.
And it costs the same as the unisex kit. Not a cent more. Girls' sportswear is routinely priced above the boys' equivalent. We're not doing that. Playing footy in something that actually fits shouldn't be a premium your daughter pays.
WHERE IT GOES
She starts at 10. Where does it actually lead?
The question parents of girls ask most often is whether there's anywhere for her after this. There is no age where the road runs out.
Mixed footy - Under 8, 9 and 10, boys and girls together. First taste. Most have never played.
AGES 5-9
U10 GIRLS
This team doesn't exist at the moment. But let's build it, saints-girls strong.
U12 GIRLS
Girls-only starts here. The game begins to click: positions, structure, a real team.
U14 GIRLS
This is where you watch them get genuinely good, and start backing themselves.
U16 GIRLS
Serious footy, real leadership, girls running their own team.
U18.5 GIRLS
The last stop before senior women's, and the year everything she's built pays off.
SENIOR
WOMEN'S
The pathway keeps going. The same players who come down to our girls' training are showing her exactly what's next.

We want more women coaching here
Our girls should be able to look at the coaches' box and see someone like them.
If you've ever thought about it - as a head coach, an assistant, a team manager, or just helping out at training - we'd like to hear from you. You don't need to have played. We'll cover your accreditation, walk you through the Working with Children Check, and put someone experienced alongside you.
Every coaching role at this club is advertised and applied for each year, so there's a way in every single season.

The 2027 waitlist is open. A $50 deposit holds her place, and it comes off your season fees - it isn't an extra cost.
