Girls-Only Footy at Narre South Saints
Empowering Girls. Building Teams. Creating Leaders.

At the Narre South Saints Junior Football Netball Club, we’re passionate about creating a space where girls and women feel welcomed, valued, and excited to play footy. Our dedicated Girls-Only Footy program isn’t just about building strong teams—it’s about building confidence, friendships, and lifelong connections on and off the field.
We know that joining a new club can feel overwhelming, which is why we’ve created a Buddy System to help you settle in. From day one, you’ll have a peer mentor—a friendly face to show you around, answer any questions (even the ones you’re too shy to ask), and help you feel right at home.

We’ve also introduced regular visits from our Senior Women’s team, who are here to inspire, support, and act as role models and mentors for our younger players. These incredible women bring leadership, guidance, and a reminder that footy is for everyone—at every age and every level.

We understand the importance of feeling safe and comfortable, so we’ve put thought into every detail:
✅ Safe, well-lit facilities
✅ Female-supervised change rooms
✅ Amenities that matter—like hair ties, sanitary products, and mirrors when you need them
Our goal is simple:
We want girls and women to love being part of the Saints community.
We want you to feel proud to pull on the Saints jumper, to step onto the field knowing you belong, and to experience all the joy that comes with playing footy with friends.
Whether you're new to footy or returning for another season, there’s a place for you at the Narre South Saints.
Come and be part of something special.

The Saints Buddy System
Because footy is better with friends!
We know starting something new can feel a bit nerve-wracking, but at the Narre South Saints, you’ll never feel like the new kid for long. From the moment you join, we’ll make sure you’ve got a buddy by your side—someone who’s already part of the team and ready to help you settle in.

Your Saints Buddy will:
-
Answer all your questions (even the ones you’re too shy to ask)
-
Show you around the club—where to find the change rooms, the canteen, and the best spot to watch the game
-
Be a friendly face at training—because it’s always easier to try something new when you’ve got a friend nearby
We’re all about making connections and building friendships from day one. With the Saints Buddy System, you’ll feel welcomed, supported, and part of the team right away.

Safe & Comfortable Change Rooms
At the Saints, we take your safety and comfort seriously.
We’ve put clear guidelines in place to ensure our girls-only teams feel secure and at ease when using the change rooms:
✅ No men are allowed to move through the girls' change rooms unless accompanied by a female official or parent.
✅ If a male official needs to enter the change rooms, there will always be a female official or parent present to provide peace of mind.
We want every girl to feel safe, respected, and supported at all times.
Our facilities are designed to create a space where you can focus on getting ready for the game and having fun—without any worries.
Your comfort matters to us, and we’re committed to making sure you feel at home at the Saints.
Clean & Convenient Toilets 🚻
We make sure our toilets are clean, well-stocked, and ready when you need them.
✅ Toilet paper is always available
✅ Sanitary bins are provided for your convenience
✅ We take pride in keeping our facilities fresh and welcoming.
It’s the little things that make a big difference, and we’re committed to ensuring that everyone feels comfortable at the Saints.
Because when you’re out on the field, we want your focus to be on playing footy and having fun—we’ve got the rest covered.
Inspiring Senior Role Models
At the Narre South Saints, we’re proud to have a strong and successful Senior Women’s team who are more than just great players—they’re leaders, mentors, and role models for our younger girls.
Throughout the season, we invite our Senior Women’s players to join our Girls-Only Footy training sessions.
They’re there to:
-
Share their experience and tips
-
Join in the fun at training
-
Provide leadership and encouragement
-
Be mentors for our younger players
Having our Senior Women involved means that our junior girls see what’s possible—that they can continue to play, grow, and achieve great things in footy. It’s about creating a pathway for girls in footy and showing them they belong at every level of the game.
Because when you see it, you can be it!
Well-Lit Facilities for Your Safety
At the Narre South Saints, we’ve made sure that all key areas around our club—including change rooms, community spaces, and drinking taps—are well-lit and easy to access.
Your safety is our priority. If you ever feel unsafe in the car park or anywhere around the club, don’t wait—let someone know immediately. We’re here to ensure that every player, parent, and visitor feels secure and comfortable at all times.
We’re committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment so you can focus on enjoying your footy experience.
Basic Amenities to Help
At the Saints, we know that sometimes you might forget the little things on game day or training—and that’s okay!
For all home games, our team is stocked with basic amenities to help you out when you need them.
We’ve got you covered with:
-
Hair ties for when yours snaps or gets left at home
-
Sanitary products to avoid any game-day stress
-
Deodorant and other essentials to keep you feeling fresh
These items have been generously donated by our Saints community, and they’re here for you to use if you get stuck.
While we encourage everyone to bring what they need as part of their game-day routine, know that we’ll always have a little extra help on hand—because we’re all in this together.
