The Narre South Saints Junior Football Netball Club is gearing up for a fantastic 2025 season with some big changes on the horizon, here’s what you need to know about our club’s temporary relocation, exciting renovations, and facility upgrades that promise a bright future for the Saints community.
$1.5 Million Renovation at Strathaird Reserve
We’re thrilled to share that Strathaird Reserve will undergo a long-anticipated $1.5 million renovation. Originally scheduled to begin in December, construction will now kick off in mid-to-late February 2025. This major project will deliver significant improvements to our clubrooms, ensuring better facilities for our players, families, and the broader community for years to come.
Cricket Pitch Rejuvenation Project on the Top Oval
In addition to the clubroom renovations, the top oval (East) at Strathaird Reserve will be unavailable starting May 2025 due to the City of Casey’s Cricket Pitch Rejuvenation Project. This six-month initiative will enhance the sporting facilities in our area, adding to the quality of the reserve.
Temporary Move to J&P Cam Reserve
While these upgrades are exciting, they do mean a temporary relocation for the 2025 season. After thorough exploration of all options and consultation with the Council and our Senior Club, we’re happy to announce that J&P Cam Reserve, located at 1 Clarendon Street, Cranbourne, will serve as our home base for the upcoming season.
The Bigger Picture: A Brighter Future for the Saints
This short-term adjustment is a stepping stone toward a stronger, more sustainable future for the Narre South Saints. Once completed, the renovations at Strathaird Reserve will provide state-of-the-art facilities that will benefit Saints players, families, and the wider community for generations to come.
